Turkey is slowly building stronger ties with China, regardless of the Uyghur problem. The 2 countries plan to increase bilateral trade. Despite being a NATO member, Turkey is distancing itself from the West and edging toward the East. Maybe because it felt it is isolated by being a Muslim country. In the meantime China tried to rectify the problem in Xinjiang(home of Uyghurs) by pouring money there to reduce high unemployment and build up its intucstruafrre.
